Out to dinner with some girlfriends the other night and the question came up. "Will your future family celebrate Kwanzaa?" Most of the folks at the table expressed interest in learning more about the holiday first. And when you think about it a lot of Black families don't celebrate Kwanzaa because we don't know what it is.
